REAP: 52 Wealth Principles, Season 6 Complete Reference

June 07, 20268 min read

Most people I sit down with have already done the hard part. They built the business, bought the properties, accumulated assets that took years to earn. The conversation that tends to change things is not about how to add more. It is about whether what they already hold is working. The specific question: what is my equity producing per dollar, right now?

That question is what this series is built around. Season 6 of the 52 Wealth Principles runs from November 2, 2024 through October 25, 2025. One principle per Saturday, each paired with the book I found most useful for thinking about that principle in practice. This is the complete reference for the season.

Where This List Came From

I keep meticulous journals. Dozens of them, going back years. Every course I paid for, every book that actually moved something in how I operated, every conversation with a mentor that changed a real decision. A few years ago, while living in Las Vegas, I set aside focused time to go back through all of it. The goal was simple: find the principles that had actually compounded, the ideas that kept returning whether I was building a business from zero, evaluating a lending opportunity, or thinking about where to redeploy equity.

I pulled over 100. I combined the ones that were really variations of each other, which is why some titles in this list run longer than a normal bullet point. What I was left with was 52. One per week. A full year of focused, sequential work.

The Question at the Center of All 52

Every principle in this series ultimately points back to the same place: what is your equity actually earning?

Return on equity is the measurement that cuts through noise. Not gross income. Not net worth as a headline figure. What does every dollar of equity produce? I ran that calculation on a condo position I held in Fall River. The answer was 1.9 percent. The property was generating income. But the equity I had deployed in it was almost idle. A full ROE Audit surfaces that kind of number on every asset you hold. That number is what you act on.

Running the same audit across a full portfolio exposes dead equity sitting in paid-off properties, capital parked in accounts earning less than inflation, and businesses that generate revenue without generating a real return per dollar deployed.

The 52 principles are the framework for closing those gaps systematically. Some address how you generate capital through business. Some address how you think and make decisions under pressure. Some address how you structure your team, your time, and your relationships with capital. If you are working toward a four-tier capital structure where each tier is intentional and productive, the discipline in this season builds toward that. If you are moving from active operator hours toward a capital allocator position, this season is the scaffold.

Each principle below is the foundation for a standalone article covering the principle in depth, the book paired with it, and how the thinking applies to real capital decisions. How to Work the Season

This is not a reading list. The format is one principle per week, with time in between to test the idea against your current situation before moving to the next one. A week is the maximum time any principle should require, regardless of the size of your operation.

The design assumes you are applying it, not just reading it. If a principle stops you because you realize you have not been operating by it, that is the information. The honest inventory is the work.

You will find some principles that feel obvious. That is usually because you are already doing them. The ones that feel uncomfortable on first read are the ones worth sitting with the longest.
